On July 30th we plan to release update 1.5.6 to consoles! Though this is a tentative date, if anything changes we will let you know on our socials in a follow-up post

Version 1.5.6 comes with features and important fixes that you have been asking for. For example we have been working on improving the squad joining system, more details about that will be shared later along with the full patch notes.

The big news today is that we plan to release this update along with the first full wipe of all official console servers. Admittedly it will be sad to see some bases constructed on day one finally wipe, but we believe the time is finally right. Not only are wipes needed for overall gameplay balance and health, but it is needed this time to reduce the impact of some exploits on PvP servers. Many exploits will be patched with the release of version 1.5.6, even one sneaky duplication exploit that was kept secret by just a handful of players. We are excited to see the console community have their first full wipe experience, it's an exciting and chaotic time like nothing else.

Update as of 7/21:

"Private console servers will now be excluded from the upcoming wipe on the 29th, now just official console servers will be reset

We appreciate that so many players and community server owners continue to be passionate about Deadside, thank you for speaking up!

This new release plan will result in a significantly longer update process unfortunately, it will likely take a few hours to completely update and wipe all servers on the 29th.

It's important to note that a forced wipe of all servers is still a possibility in the future. We try to avoid this in our development process, but major updates can sometimes require a forced wipe to prevent technical issues on release. So while we are able to only wipe official servers in this case, that might not always be possible"

Another important note is that we plan to close a chunk of official servers on the release of 1.5.6 to ensure proper player density. So on the 29th you may see a different list of servers compared to before, though everyone will still have servers in their region. Here is a list of official servers that we plan to close, organized in groups:

  • Europe 1206-1208

In my opinion this is absolute wrong. Just had fun with my friend for days. To me Deadside is Dead now…..just grinding on pve and had fun and now you deleted the data of our soldados? What for? If you do so you are not even better than Ubisoft and the „Famous“ Division 2. Ripping People of that invested time blood sweat and tears……farewell and thanks for nothing
