DEADSIDE Console 1.5.9 - Bug & Exploit Fixes

Hello Deadsiders!

Tomorrow at 11:00AM CET / 5:00AM CDT, we will begin to release version 1.5.9 to Xbox and Playstation! Servers may be temporarily unavailable during the update window.

This regular patch aims to fix bugs that have been reported by our community for smoother gameplay, while patching more methods that allow for the silent shooting exploit. This exploit in particular has been much more difficult to fix than expected, but we are still working hard to fix all methods once they are reported. Check out the patch notes below for a full list of changes;

Changes:

• The vibration strength of the PS5 controller is no longer dependent on the master volume level.

• Changed wall-building tutorial prompt: replaced RT/R2 with LT/L2 for improved consistency.

• Changed character exit behavior: character now immediately leaves the game server after pressing “Leave Server.”

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed several cases of the silent shooting exploit.

• Fixed an issue where enabling gamepad vibration changed the sound of weapon shots.

• Fixed a bug where, after hiding an invite notification, a previous inactive invite would reappear.

• Fixed graphical artifacts appearing when passing through smoke from smoke grenades of all colors.

• Fixed missing server name on the “Resume” button after joining via an invite.

• Fixed issue where the quick access action wheel stayed on-screen after interacting with merchants or fast travel NPCs.

• Fixed loss of vertical camera control when the right stick deadzone was set above 65%.

• Fixed reload animation issue with the Mosin rifle that could cause the weapon not to fire.

• Removed the hood button from the tool wheel since the function to put on/take off the hood is no longer available.
